Expected Results: Some type of visual confirmation that they are installed and that you should not be clicking on the button again.

Can you post one example backtrace that you think debug symbols have been correctly installed but DrKonqi still think they are not ? Such an example will help to see whether it is the fault of DrKonqi failing to realize debug symbols have been installed , or the fault of distro-specific installer failing to install all needed debug symbols but still returning a success code to DrKonqi.
