Description Jay 2012-03-12 08:17:36 UTC
When adding an account (New Account... menu option):

1. The user selects Account Type of "Equity" on the wizard's Account page
2. On the "Parent Account" page, the "Subaccount of" list is empty and the Next page button is unavailable (inactive), as no parent account has been (or can be) selected

This prevents a user from creating an Equity-type account through the interface, as the parent account can't be specified by the user.

This bug is present in version 4.6.2 (Debian Testing) on KDE 4.8.1 (Kubuntu community updates) as well as prior versions.

Note that the bug tracker has no target for "4.6.2", despite it being a "stable" release, according to the project webpage. This bug should be filed against 4.6.2.

If you need anymore information, or I can assist in debugging this, please let me know.

This was already fixed so you can apply the patch to the 4.6.2 package if you wish.
I've also noticed the lack of the "4.6.2" target but I don't know who should I contact to solve this issue.

With the help of the kde sysadmins "4.6.2" is now available in the targets list.
