I get my google+ updates in gmail, and I'm noticing that as new updates come in, I see three copies: one in Inbox, and two in All Mail. (In 4.8.0, there were two copies, one for each Inbox and All Mail.) The one in Inbox as well as one of the copies in All Mail are blank (header seems intact, but no body). The second copy in All Mail is fine. ==== blank email ==== X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 3.3.1 (2010-03-16) on naboo.mcbr.dyndns.org X-Spam-Status: No, score=-1.9 required=5.0 tests=BAYES_00,NO_RECEIVED, NO_RELAYS autolearn=ham version=3.3.1 References: <z124jhvzoyq2vjgia04ceprghoeiwhgw2bo@plus.google.com> Date: Thu, 08 Mar 2012 09:58:09 -0800 Message-ID: <z133z5vpszfdhput322oityiloedcr3tv@plus.google.com> Subject: Re: *Updates to Ripples: 60+ languages; see how... Receive an email (doesn't need to be from G+ - I got the same thing with a Gentoo Bugzilla email) in Gmail. Actual Results: Two blank emails (that should not be blank) and an extra copy in All Mail (that should not be there at all). Expected Results: Same as with KDE 4.8.0 - only two "copies" (they're linked - if I read in one view, it's eventually marked read in the other).
So it isn't just me. I can confirm this. KDE 4.8.1 and Kubuntu Oneiric 11.10 with Backports PPA.
I can also confirm that this bug occurs with a locally installed IMAP server. (dovecot/postfix)
Sorry, after my login the thread changed somehow. My last bug report should be attached to Bug# 295534 Could you please forward? I didnt get a copy of my report. greez Tweety
I can confirm this bug. Fedora 16 KDE 4.8.1
This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present? If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kmail2 (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.12 or later), it gets closed in about three months.
Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
