Description Dennis Nienhüser 2012-03-06 13:06:38 UTC
I'm using gwenview to sort a large number of pictures using drag&drop to another program (dolphin). While that works great, after moving a bunch of pictures I'd expect the number of selected items in gwenview to be zero (since I moved all previously selected items away). Instead one new picture is selected in the vicinity of the location of the previous pictures. That's a bit annoying as I have to find and unselect that picture each time.

Can confirm. The problems seems to be that Gwenview does not a have clear separation between selection and focus like e.g. Dolphin has.

Instead of selecting an image next to the moved (or deleted) images, it should only focus such an image, which in itself is a nice feature compared to just jumping to the first image in a folder. Unfortunately, Gwenview currently does not have any way to indicate the focus (try moving around with Ctrl + arrow keys, then press Space).
