I use kate-3.7.4 on kde 4.7.4: One window with multiple open files.
At the end of my workday, I shutdown my computer (leaving kate open).
The next workday, I boot up my computer again and login; at that point, the original kate window with the multiple files is there nicely waiting for me, but there are also multiple empty kate windows, one for each open file in the original window. These should not be there (for one thing, it is bothersome to close them all).

Is this a local configuration issue or might this be a bug; in the former case, please help me correct the configuration, otherwise, let me know if I can help pinpoint it.

Fix in kate.git master, I hope, by disabling the session restore for the child processes that are used to open multiple files in the same kate application :/
