Once the computer screen goes blank, there is no way to go back unless I force shutdown the system Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Leave de computer in idle for 10 minutes. Actual Results: The screen shuts down and the computer hangs Expected Results: THe computer should 1) come back from idle. 2) not idle at all if I choose to disable all the power saving options.
maybe its too late, but I have the same problem, I think its a composite problem, when I disable it, I can use for some hours, but I use the pc to mine, and almost every night, pc hangs, sometimes 2am, sometimes 4am. I can monitor with stats of the minig pool... in my cose, disabling desktop efects like transparency helps, but not solve the problem
Well, can you reproduce this with more modern Kernels? I don't think this is KDE fault.
Closing for lack of feedback, additionally this clearly seems like a bug in the kernel or Xorg, not kde. Thanks for reporting !
