Version: 1.7 (using KDE 4.7.4) OS: Linux I have some lines describing cifs shares in fstab. These shares can be mounted by 'users', e.g.: //foo/softtools /foo/softtools cifs user,iocharset=utf8,uid=1001,gid=1000,nobrl,noserverino,domain=DOMAIN,credentials=/home/bar/.credentials,file_mode=0664,dir_mode=0775,exec dolphin lists those on the lhs filesystem panel and will mount them when I click on the associated symbol. However, the view does not change into the (just mounted) folder and there is no option to umount them (not nice if you take your laptop around with you). Moreover, they have been mounted with root privileges and thus cannot be umounted from the terminal as user. This behavior is reproducible. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: well, see above: open dolphin, click on the associated filesystem symbol, nothing happens to the view (should change), from a terminal it can be seen that the fs has been mounted. Attempt to umount as user will fail. Actual Results: well, see above: open dolphin, click on the associated filesystem symbol, nothing happens to the view (should change), from a terminal it can be seen that the fs has been mounted. Attempt to umount as user will fail. Expected Results: well, see above: open dolphin, click on the associated filesystem symbol, nothing happens to the view (should change), from a terminal it can be seen that the fs has been mounted. Attempt to umount as user will fail.
They can be seen now though they can't be unmounted.

This bug is reported on libsolid which is the kdelibs4 version of the solid library. It is now in maintenance mode. If you think it should still be fixed in the KDE Frameworks 5 version of solid please move it to or report a bug on frameworks-solid.
Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug. Please try again with the latest version and submit a new bug to frameworks-solid if your issue persists. Thank you!
