I use PGP. and about 10 POP3 and 1 imap mailboxes, mails are held in maildir, on imap server too...

on IMAP server side I can seen:

KMail 1.x is no longer maintained. Please update to KMail 2. The KDE version you are using is also quite old, please update to KDE 4.8.
