Description Alexander 2012-02-20 09:36:44 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.7.4)
OS: Linux

With KDE 4.5.3 it was possible to add an application starter menue (e.g. Kickoff Application launcher-> Applications -> Mulitmedia) by right clickling on "Multimedia", and then select: "Add to panel".

If I proceed like this in KDE 4.7.4 or KDE 4.7.3, then the complete applications starter menu (the one where Multimedia is only a sub-menu off) is added to the panel.

It is also not possible to add a application starter sub-menu to the Desktop; here also only the main Application starter menu is added.

I am used to customize my KDE by creating own application starter menus (e.g. different eclipse versions) using kmenuedit, which I then have added to my panel. With the KDE version 4.7.4 this is not possible anymore.

Alexander

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
select:

Kickoff Application launcher-> Applications -> any available sub-menu

then right click select "add to panel" or "add to cdesktop"

Actual Results:
Only the main "Application Starter" menu is added, instead of any selected sub-menu

Expected Results:
The sub-menu should occur on the panel

The sub-menu should occur on the panel
