Version:           1.99.0 (using KDE 4.8.0) 
OS:                Linux

It is all in the subject line:

attachments show as a blob of MIME text  (7bits)  lines instead of an icon you can click and open

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
ask someone to send you an attached file (for example PDF) and look at the email in google mail and in Kmail.  

Actual Results:  
in google mail it shows the file as an icon in kmail it is shown as a text blob at the end of the email. NO conversion is done from the raw email structure.

Expected Results:  
show the file as an icon

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 3.2.6-BH

It works fine  here.
I have a lot of mail with attachment.
So needs more infos, do you use filter on this emails ?
Could you send it in message private so I can look at it
etc.

I stopped using kmail some time ago due to its dependence on resource consuming processes like Nepomuk, etc.  Therefore I can't provide more info at this time
