Version: SVN (using KDE 4.8.0) OS: Linux As the title says, Kopete stop sending messages after few hours of use, on YMSG protocol. The messages appears to be sent from Kopete client, but aren't received by the receiver; it doesn't even work by sending messages to an other Yahoo! account of myself, which is also logged in Kopete. It seems (but I'm not sure) that the bug appears on the daytime, when most of my contacts are online. I don't know how to debug this, if you need more information just tell what should I do. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Log in with a Yahoo! Messenger account 2. Wait 3. Wait 4. After few hours, try to send a message. It is not sent. Actual Results: The message is not received at destination. Expected Results: The message should be received. I'm using a SVN version of Kopete; if it's really needed I can provide my account details to a Kopete developer. Currently I'm using Pidgin, when this problem doesn't appear - but it's awkward to use a GTK+ application in KDE.
Seems that disabling stealth settings (by setting them as default) solved this issue... I'm running Kopete by ~9 hours and the bug no longer occurs.
Hello from the KDE Bugsquad! Unfortunately, Yahoo has discontinued the Yahoo Messenger service, and the code has been removed from Kopete. Thus, I am closing this bug as "UNMAINTAINED" since it will no longer be fixable, or able to operate due to Yahoo.
