- What I was doing when the application crashed: 
Attempting to delete 2 folders (nested). Nothing seemed to happen, so I tried to delete the nested one on its own (it contained 1 file) when digiKam crashed. 

This seems similar to a previously closed report 270248, reportedly fixed. I have only had the program installed a week, so I would have expected the fix to be included.
