Description Guillermo Lopez 2012-02-16 02:25:58 UTC
Version: 2.7.4 (using KDE 4.7.4)
OS: Linux

I'm not sure whether this is currently implemented or not however it would be desirable having the Konsole KPart component to offer a way to the KPart host to trigger the search, or at least it needs to offer it via its context menu. Up to my knowledge the absence of this feature avoids other applications like Yakuake to extend the konsole and keep the konsole search feature which is kind of a killer feature.

It would be at least very helpful and reasonable having this option within the konsole context menu.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Actual Results:
No find/search option within konsole's context menu nor the konsole kpart offers a way to the kpart host to trigger it.

Expected Results:
Being able to trigger a search either through konsole's context menu or konsole's kpart.
