Starting a new session.  Kontact was open previously, and my sessions are set to restore the previously-open applications, so Kontact started automatically.  In sequence, the following crashes occurred:

This happened immediately after several kubuntu updates, including the 3.0.0.16 kernel update.  I can provide the other updates that happened at the same time upon request as a .png file snapshot from Muon Package Manager's history.
