Example of blank space after the last column

Version: 2.0 (using KDE 4.8.0)
OS: Linux

When trying to shrink any column in Details view, a blank space at right appears as shown in screenshot. Makes quite hard to resize a column in the middle without appearance of the horizontal scrollbar.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Switch to Details view, shrink any column.

Actual Results:
Blank space at the right appears.

Expected Results:
The most right column should be attached to the edge of file list.

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 3.2.2-1-ARCH
Compiler: gcc

Thanks for the report, but I cannot reproduce the issue: Does this blank space occur only temporary in your environment during the resizing or does it also remain after resizing? Does the issue also occur when increasing the size? The temporary lag during resizing has been fixed for 4.8.1 already...
Comment 2 Alexander Kiselyov 2012-02-02 16:19:59 UTC
This space remains after resizing, however, restart of dolphin fixes it. When increasing, just horizontal scrollbar appears as expected.

Just tried to purge dolphin config - the same problem on default settings.
Comment 4 Peter Penz 2012-02-03 07:49:04 UTC
Strange... Which widget-style are you using? On the screenshot it does not look like Oxygen.

The same but with Oxygen style
Comment 6 Alexander Kiselyov 2012-02-03 08:33:56 UTC
Well, I was using QtCurve. With Oxygen it looks a bit better, but still the main problem persists - it takes some time to expand columns (e.g. "Name") to fit all the list space without "blanks" or horizontal scrollbar.

I've seen this so much I was beginning to think it was normal. Can't reproduce as per your instructions, but for me if you just remove the last column from the list of displayed columns, it always shows up.

Cannot reproduce with Dolphin 17.12.3. Closing, but please reopen this report if the issue persists for you.
