- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I tried to compare two large text files (8.6MB each). Kompare was not running. I selected both files (from same folder) in Dolphin and clicked on the "kompare" icon in the Dolphin toolbar. Kompare started and briefly showed an empty window (as it does if the comparison calculation takes a while), but it crashed in less than a second.
The files have 128 lines with each line having around 60,000 characters (or more). That may probably be a bit too much for kompare...(?).

The crash can be reproduced every time.
