Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.8.0) OS: Linux I use three virtual desktops. I ticked in Task Manager Settings > General > Filters the option "Only show tasks form the current desktop". After a restart KDE starts most tasks (applications) that have been started before and puts these tasks on the desktop where they have been before. (perfect) But on Desktop1 the Task Manager shows the tasks of all desktops. If I click on a task in the Task Manger, KDE (kwin?) switches to the Desktop of this task. Afterwards this task is vanished from the Task Manager in Desktop1. (Hence, a naive workaround is: After a restart, click on all task of Desktop2 and Desktop3 which are wrongly placed in the Task Manager of Desktop1.) This bug appeared since I updated from 4.7.4 to 4.8.0. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Use several virtual desktops. 2. tick in Task Manager Settings > General > Filters the option "Only show tasks form the current desktop". 3. Start some applications (dolphin, konqueror, konsole) on each desktop. 4. Restart 5. Check tasks in Task Manager of Desktop1 Expected Results: Only show tasks form the current desktop
I don't reproduce. The Task Manager shows me the correct applications for my 2 desktops. Maybe there are more steps to be done to reproduce? Can you post a screenshot of your Task Manager settings? Does the bug happen also with only 2 desktops?
OK there is another bug report which reports the same problem. To reproduce you need to be on desktop 1 and logout apparently. I don't really reproduce, only system-settings was shown on desktop 1 and desktop 2 although it should have been on desktop 2 only.
