Is there a reason you are using version 1.7? The 2.x versions have been on sourceforge for some time, with 2.5 as latest: http://sourceforge.net/projects/digikam/files/digikam/ Be sure to uninstall before upgrading
thank you for your quick response. 1st I did the uninstall of the older version 1.7 Unfortunately Version 2.5 crashes during every startup with EXEPTION ACCESS VIOLATION followed by a hex-adress regards Phil Am 27.01.2012 13:10, schrieb Ananta Palani: > https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=292578 > > > Ananta Palani<anantapalani@gmail.com> changed: > > What |Removed |Added > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- > CC| |anantapalani@gmail.com > > > > > --- Comment #2 from Ananta Palani<anantapalani gmail com> 2012-01-27 12:10:11 --- > Is there a reason you are using version 1.7? (In reply to comment #4) Glad to hear it is working. Could you check if you still experience the bug you are reporting? If not, we can close this bug report.
This problem is fixed since a while. The 32 bits 5.8.0 pre release Windows installer can be tested here : https://files.kde.org/digikam/ Gilles Caulier
