plasma crashed just after I sent a email with Thunderbird. 
i'm using 
thunderbird                           8.0+build1-0ubuntu0.11.10.1
thunderbird-globalmenu                8.0+build1-0ubuntu0.11.10.1
and kde 4.7.3 (ubuntu oneiric ocelot) with latest updates.
