Description Craig Magina 2012-01-19 19:57:43 UTC
Version: unspecified (using Devel)
OS: Linux

While a file transfer job is running, if you expand notifications, you can see the notification pop-up rapidly shifting in size as the file name paths change in length. It does seem to stop after a short period of displaying.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Start a file transfer with many files with big discrepancies in file name length and/or path name length.
Click the information button next to the systray to show all current jobs and past notifications.
Trigger some notifications (i.e. Text messages, e-mail from Thunderbird)

Actual Results:
The size of the notification display with resize every time the file transfer progresses to the next file in its job.
Eventually the resizing will subside, but will start up again if there is a new notification.

Expected Results:
The notification window never resizes as it should be a static size.

Having notifications change size for anything is very disconcerting and requires you to adjust to the new locations of buttons and information being displayed.

I am running KDE SC 4.8 RC2 with the Air plasma theme and only one panel at the bottom of the screen.
