Test mail

Version: 4.8 (using Devel)
OS: Linux

Unlike attachments, inline parts usually hav no Content-Description, but if they do, they are listed as attachments which they probably shouldn't.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
View a message with "Content-Disposition: inline" and "Content-Description" set.

Actual Results:
The text part is correctly shown inline, but at the same time it is listed as attachment in the attachment list.

Expected Results:
The content description IMHO shouldn't have any effect, except for being displayed in the message structure.

In my opinion, it is handy to have all non-text objects (including inlined images, etc) in a list along with attachments. Otherwise one might not notice an inlined image when looking through an e-mail message.

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kmail2 (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.12 or later), it gets closed in about three months.
Comment 3 Denis Kurz 2017-01-07 22:00:03 UTC
Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
