Description Thomas Pfeiffer 2012-01-13 19:53:19 UTC
Version: unspecified (using Devel)
OS: Linux

Before it was possible to pull the task switcher up or down. Now only the top bar can be pulled. This reduces the touch target for pulling significantly, making it pretty hard to pull.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Pull the top bar down to reveal only the task switcher.
2. Try pulling the task switcher up or down

Actual Results:
Nothing happens

Expected Results:
Task switcher moves up to hide or down to reveal the launcher respectively.

Happened with 2012-01-10-09-09-basyskom-plasma-active-devel-meego plus updated today (01/13).

I see this as a wishlist. Is it really an issue?

It would be a wish if it had always been that way. But it is a regression, since in PA1 and PA2 it was possible to pull down on the task switcher as well.

I cannot reproduce this problem in 2012-02-27-14-08-basyskom-plasma-active-devel-meego-usb-live.iso. Just as notice I use XRender as kwin's backend because the (default) OpenGL backend does not work in VirtualBox. XRender is the backend used in PA1 and PA2, so maybe the problem depends on the OpenGL backend.

I can confirm that it has been fixed by now.
