Created attachment 67790 [details] exemple wrong spellcheck in french in words with apostrophe Version: 2.4-snapshots (using Devel) OS: Linux when I write in French words with apostrophe like "l'électricité", when spellcheck "l'electricité" (without accent in the first e), the spellcheck option give me the correction but when spellcheck is applied, the right word is ADD before the wrong word and not replace it like could be, so at the end I have that: "l’électricité'electricité". I tested with another words and options and is the same. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: write different words with apostrophe inside Actual Results: the word is ADD before the word to correct Expected Results: the incorrect word is REPLACED by the correct word I use English like language interface (in all my KDE apps), my local/regional config is to BELGIUM (FRENCH) (date, money, etc)
to reproduce with english dictionary: l'client should provide you with client as alternative and indeed it's added and not replaced
Bug has been fixed by commit # 5a2c845c4b2e8159d97eefa9b475da2ab719f97f Request to close the same :)
I test it again with Beta 7 version from archlinux packages (kde-unstable repo) and the bug is still there. I test it with spellcheck in english with words in english with apostrophe, and is the same problem, the word is added, not replaced thant excepcted. If theren't apostrophe, the word is correctly replaced (in french or english).
