Description m.wege 2012-01-13 16:41:24 UTC
Version: 1.99.0
OS: Linux

I have 11 favourite folders (all from the same account). When I change the sorting of the folder list which seemling also applies two the favourite folders disappear. The return when the sorting is turned back to normal. One of the folders which disappears is the Inbox, the other just a normal folder which is on the same level of the other folders which do not disppear. I can not find any "rule" what makes this folders specificly disappear. To experiment with it, I have removed the Inbox folder from my favourite folders and added it again, now 3 folders disappear when changing the sorting.
Then I removed the other folder which tends to disappear and tried with sorting. Result: No folder disppears when changing the sorting. Then I readded the folder to favourite folders: The problem reapears again.
So the root of the problem seems to have something to do with the number ten. When there are more then ten folders the problem appears.
I use the favourite folders in list mode.

it's valid in last kdepim 4.8.0 ?
Comment 2 m.wege 2012-02-22 08:40:17 UTC
yes, it still exits. Additional feature now: Kmail crashes after a few times changing the sorting without Dr.Konqui kicking in.

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kmail2 (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.12 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
