Version: CVS (using Devel) OS: Linux rekonq, quassel and perhaps a lot more have encoded, (I guess it is not strictly binary encoded) blobs make it hard for me to understand what they are. I would like to be able to copy my kde configuration into /etc/skel, and have that be the system default for new users. This is too hard now, because there are too many things to manually edit. Blobs are not trivially edited. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Try to copy KDE's config files to /etc/skel Actual Results: realize that the exact way you last left a window is saved, oh no, have to go thru and replace the blob with one from another session that has desired layout. Expected Results: For performance, a blob may be nice to have kept in some sort of cache... The configuration file should be all human readable. bug 290675 depends on this.
