Everything akonadi related seems to be freezing up - kmail, contacts, akonadiconsole, akonaditray. kmails starts anddisplays one message then freezes. akonadicconsole won't even show a gui - but no output on the text konsole.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Logon

Actual Results:  
kmail freezes, config tools such as akonaditray or console refuse to start

Expected Results:  
Being able to use kmail

I'm seeing this repeated in dmesg

Virtuoso is related to Nepomuk.

Check that your installation is not broken (eg mixed packages from different sources..)

I stopped desktop search, deleted the the nepomuk db, restarted search and all was ok.


I have a copy of the DB if you want.

"~/.kde/share/apps/nepomuk"

No thanks. A nepomuk DB may contain personal/private data.

Anything personal is encrypted, but if you'd prefer not I understand.
