Version: git master (using KDE 4.7.2) OS: Linux I'm using KDevelop git master (2012-01-09). KDevelop asks the user to recover the files 2 times in certain situations. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open some file in KDevelop. Make sure it's the only file open (otherwise the first recovery dialog may not show up). 2. Type something, don't save. 3. Kill the KDevelop process. Make sure appropriate .kate-swp file is left on the disk. 4. Open KDevelop. Actual Results: KDevelop will show a dialog asking to recover the file. If the user chooses not to recover, KDevelop will still show an in-line prompt (the one Kate uses) in the editor, offering to recover the file _again_. Expected Results: If the user chooses not to recover the file the first time, KDevelop shouldn't show the second prompt. openSUSE 12.1 x86-64
I performed some more experiments and it seems that the first recovery dialog only shows up if two or more files were modified, or if there is only *one* file open and it was modified. It doesn't show up if multiple files were open but only one was modified. It makes sense to allow the user to recover all the modified files at once, but the dialog could use some clarifying text (e.g. that if the user discards the dialog, they still have an option of per-file recovery). The dialog shouldn't show up for a single open file though.

I no longer use KDevelop so I cannot re-test this, sorry.
Thank you for reporting this issue in KDE software. As it has been a while since this issue was reported, can we please ask you to see if you can reproduce the issue with a recent software version? If you can reproduce the issue, please change the status to "REPORTED" when replying. Thank you!
I no longer use the software, and this is for a very old version of the software, so I'm closing this bug.
