Description madcatx 2012-01-09 21:36:32 UTC
Version: unspecified (using Devel)
OS: Linux

Ever since updating to 4.8 RC1 I'm unable to sleep my laptop by pressing the power button or closing the lid, even though everything seems to be set up properly in the power management settings. The problem is still present it 4.8 RC2. I verified using acpi_listen that the system is aware of the buttons and generates correct events. I'm able to put my laptop to sleep by pressing Fn+F2 which generates XF86Sleep event, when the laptop is left idle for a defined period of time, it also enters sleep accordingly to PowerDevil's settings. It's just the power button and the lid sensor that don't work.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Press power button/close the lid

Actual Results:
Nothing happens

Expected Results:
System should behave accordingly to PowerDevil's settings
