Description parcours.lingual 2012-01-09 08:57:42 UTC
Version: 4.7 (using KDE 4.7.4)
OS: Linux

Hello

Xorg CPU usage is really high when i switch the screen OFF with media keys (Fn+F6) and the mouse becomes really slow for about 5-10 seconds.

On KDE forums, with the help of forum moderator, we have managed to narrow the problem down to kded4, more specifically - Display Management change monitor. When i turn this service down everything works fine.

I can confirm the symptoms in Kubuntu 11.10 with KDE 4.8 RC. This is a Lenovo Thinkpad T420 and the shorcut is Fn+F7
