New crash information added by DrKonqi

plasma-desktop (0.4) on KDE Platform 4.8.00 (4.8.0 using Qt 4.7.4

- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I was running Unison (GTK window) to sync laptop hard drive and external drive. I plugged an SD card into the card reader. A notification box popped up giving me choices. I clicked on "File Manager" and Plasma crashed. The desktop screen turned black. Unison continued running. gkrellm is also running on the desktop as well as a kterm shell window. gkrellm continued running.

- Unusual behavior I noticed:
After about 30 seconds, Plasma restarted itself without any action on my part. However my 80x24 kterm window re-sized itself to 80x4 lines and moved from the upper right part of the desktop to the lower right corner. The shell was still active.

The Unison window slowly "folded" itself from the left side of the screen to the right. The effect started on the left side of the GUI window. It was like peeling a transparent sticker off the screen and placing backwards down on the desktop.

The crash is repeatable. The "peeling" effect is intermittant. The shrinking of the KTerm window happens every time.

Comment 13 Martin Flöser 2013-05-28 20:05:14 UTC
Thank you for this crash report and helping to improve our software. Unfortunately we were not able to work on this specific report yet. Nowadays the version this crash was reported against is no longer maintained and this makes it very difficult to work on this report as the source code might have changed and the information in the backtrace is no longer valid.

Also it is quite likely that this problem got fixed in a later version. Crash reports are very often reported multiple times.

If you are able to reproduce this crash with the latest version of KDE Plasma (4.10.3) please reopen this report and adjust the version information in the dropdown above and please also include a new backtrace as generated by the crash reporting tool. Please also make sure that the steps on how to reproduce the crash are precise and correct. Thank you!
