Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.7.4) OS: Linux There is an application from AVM to create configuration files to import into the software "Fritz Fernzugang". This software is only available for Windows. It will be nice if it is possible to import these configuration-file into KNetworkManagement. Reproducible: Always Expected Results: See above
That fact that the software run only in Windows does not appeal to me. I also do not read German.
Created attachment 67592 [details] FritzVPN Config-File
The configuration file is a plain text file and it would be supposed possible to use the Shrewsoft IKE VPN-Client to establish a VPN-connection with IPSec to a FritzBox. I attached a sample anonymized config-file.
I am very busy implementing other things in Plasma NM. Most of the time work alone, if nobody helps me I will not implement your request anytime soon and that means in years.
You can take a look like it is done for other VPN plugins and probably do it yourself, then send your patch to reviewboard so we can take a look.
This is a FritzBox proprietary format. nm-connection-editor -i vpngate.opvn will open the Open Format VPN however. Maybe its poss to transmogrify those Fritz files? nm-connection-editor -i %f as Dolphin file association is handy too.
