Version: unspecified (using Devel) OS: Linux I use a vertical main panel and since kde 4.8 beta till 4.8 rc2 the icons in the system tray are not line up properly and take the system tray takes up almost the whole panel even though it contains only a few icons. Resizing the width of the panel changes the position of the icons, but large empty spaces remain and the other widgets get squeezed out of the panel. I already tried to remove all plasma related settings in the .kde directory, but success lasted only till the next suspend and resume cycle. Am I the only one using a vertical panel? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Use a vertical panel and suspend and resume (on NVIDIA binary driver) Actual Results: System tray takes up almost the whole panel even though it contains only a few icons. Expected Results: normal system tray
Created attachment 67593 [details] the systray contains bogus status notifier entries. it seems that the system tray gets somehow filled with bogus status notifier entries.
Although it has been marked as fixed, the bug seems to be still present in 4.8.3 (Kubuntu 12.04), see attached image.
