Version: 1.7 (using KDE 4.7.4) OS: Linux You are not able to create a servicemenu with a line similar to "Exec=sh abc.sh" or "Exec=./abc", because the Exec command is working in /. I think that is wrong, because when you want to create a script only in the user path "/home/USER/.kde/share/kde4/services/ServiceMenus/" you can not execute an external file from that .desktop script. You would have to copy that external file to /usr/bin or similar and that requires root rights and it is an intervention in your system. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: create abc.desktop in /home/USER/.kde/share/kde4/services/ServiceMenus/: [Desktop Entry] Type=Service ServiceTypes=KonqPopupMenu/Plugin MimeType=all/all; X-KDE-StartupNotify=false X-KDE-Priority=TopLevel Actions=abc; [Desktop Action abc] Name=abc Exec=sh abc.sh create abc.sh: kdialog --title "123" --msgbox "working" Expected Results: current working directory should be specified.
