Version: 0.0.1 (using Devel) OS: Linux Since update to 4.8.rc1 I can no longer drag/drop a local file to a remote smb:// URL, which means: nothing happens. No upload is started. I do not even get the popup asking for "copy, move, cancel" When I copy the file via CTRL-C/Ctrl-V the upload is working. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: see above Expected Results: popup asking what to do with the file, then doing it. OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.34.10-0.4-desktop Compiler: gcc openSuse 11.3
Dropping on a remote ftp:// URL works.
This seems to be a dolphin bug. Dropping on a dolphin instance which shows the smb:// target does also not work in KDE 4.8.0
I'm also seeing this bug. Using KDE 4.8.00 and Dolpin 2.0 from the Kubuntu Backports PPA: ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports
same issue kde 4.8.0 from Backports PPA: ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports (as someone else already noted)
Here on opensuse 12.1 kde 4.8.0 dolphin 2.0 also drag and drop on smb:// doesn't works, you have to copy and paste to copy files
Here on opensuse 12.1, kde 3.4.8 dolphin 2.0 the copy draggingdropping works. so can be changed in solved I think
Yes, with 4.8.3 it now works. closing
