Description Martin Koller 2012-01-01 16:00:02 UTC
Version: 2.2 (using Devel)
OS: Linux

kruler shown vertically shows the usual ruler (I used before KDE 4.6.5, now 4.8-RC1).
When I middle-click the ruler to have it horizontally, it now fills the complete screen.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
see above

Actual Results:
see above

Expected Results:
ruler shall only be as high when used horizontally as it is wide when shown vertically

OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.34.10-0.4-desktop
Compiler: gcc
openSuse 11.3

Not reproducable here.

You do know that you can resize the ruler, for example using the ALT+LMB trick?

Hmmm ... veeerryy strange! I can not reproduce it either now.
I had it acting like this yesterday every time I middle-clicked it.
And yesterday I also could not change the length - it always stayed as wide as my screen ...
Let's close it then.

Could you check your kwin settings?
In the Window Behavior, tab actions; middle button may go to maximize.
Either way, closing sounds fine :)

Middle-click setting is still set to Shade. I did not change the setting when updating to 4.8.rc1.
