Version:           1.99.0 (using KDE 4.7.3) 
OS:                Linux

I have set notification on arrival of mail with KDE setting : sound + message but I collect neither on new message received !
In fact I use KDE 4.7.4 but the bug reporting system does not propose a KDE version more recent than 4.7.3

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
new message created by myself to me (but same on other senders)

Actual Results:  
no notification ; notification works on successful sending of edited messages

Expected Results:  
notification with sound and warning in panel

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 3.0.0-15-generic
Compiler: gcc

I can confirm this. I have "Detailed new mail notification" checked, but I never get any notifications of new mail, I have tested this repeatedly.

It is potentially relevant to note that I'm using an IMAP account with IDLE (ie, IMAP push) capability.
