Description David 2011-12-28 19:24:36 UTC
Version: git master (using Devel)
OS: Linux

This is in the VTK project (git clone git://vtk.org/VTK.git VTK) - the main source dir I have called VTK. If I right click (in the projects panel) on VTK/Filtering/Testing/Cxx and click 'clean', I get the bug report title error. If I right click VTK/Filtering/Testing and click 'clean', I get the same error for that directory. If I do it to just VTK/Filtering/, it works fine.

Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce

Steps to Reproduce:
I tried to reproduce it with a simple case, but I cannot. I made that same level of hierarchy of empty folders with CMakeLists.txt files and I can 'clean' all of them no problem.

Expected Results:
I would expect all subdirectories to be able to be cleaned.
Comment 1 David 2012-01-09 19:29:23 UTC
I'm getting this error in one of my own projects now. When I right click on the PatchBasedInpainting/Helpers/Tests/TestHelpers executable object in the Projects pane, I get the error "PatchBasedInpainting/Helpers/Helpers/Helpers/Tests is not a directory". Notice that the "Helpers" directory is duplicated in the path, where it should not be. If I run 'make TestHelpers' from PatchBasedInpainting/Helpers/Tests/ it works correctly, so this reassures me this is a KDevelop problem and not a CMake problem.

I tried to reproduce this with a simple project and I could not. I simply made a few subdirectories each with a file to compile but I could not duplicate the bug:
daviddoria.com/Uploads/TestKDevelop.tar.gz

Any suggestions of things to try to add to that to try to duplicate the real problem?

I don't really have a clue of what's going on... If you find out any hint, don't hesitate to tell me (by updating this thread :).

Another useful information would be the output of kdevelop with the cmake debug areas enabled (run kdebugdialog).
Comment 4 Aleix Pol 2012-10-28 19:01:41 UTC
can you still reproduce that?
