Version: 2.4.1 (using KDE 4.7.3) OS: Linux After updating digikam from 2.1 to 2.4.1, Hugin forces system to freeze. Only reboot can interrupt the crash. Sorry, don´t know, if this is a Hugin topic (coming from sourcforge.net) OBSERVATIONS: 1.) Hugin, Hugin_data and Hugin_tools come from repository "extra" <http://ppa.launchpad.net/philip5/extra/ubuntu> or <http://ppa.launchpad.net/kubuntu-ppa/ppa/ubuntu> 2.) When entering this bug in KDE bug tracking system, there is only KDE Version 4.7.3 wheras new installed Version is KDE 4.7.4!! 3.) Starting up digikam takes about 3 min: is KDE 4.47.4 stable, is it fine tuned already? If the system freeze, it's not a digiKam... Something in your system is unstable, perhaps hardware, or a shared lib which break your system. Hugin is not used by digiKam. Hugin, is only used in 2 plugins : Expoblending and Panorama. I recommend to report this problem to hugin team... Gilles Caulier
I tend to agree, as I do not program as yourself. I could use HUGIN and digiKam 2.1 until yesterday without any problems, however. At the moment, I install using the mentioned repositories to get new digiKam 2.4.1, KDE and HUGIN are updated without selecting these!!! Is there a way, to update _only_ digiKam?
