Description Mathieu MD 2011-12-26 12:00:48 UTC
Version:           2.4.1 (using KDE 4.7.3)
OS:                Linux

XMP sidecar files should (must?) be renamed/moved at the same time its corresponding image/movie file is.

Actually, Digikam don't seems to rename them at all, leaving the images without their xmp, and leaving unattended xmp files in the filesystem...

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Setup Digikam to save sidecar XMP files (write metadata in xmp sidecar file);
For an image file which has its XMP file, rename it using Digikam;

Actual Results:
The .jpg file is renamed, but not the .xmp.

Expected Results:
Both .jpg and .xmp should have been renamed in the same way at the same time.

OS: Linux (i686) release 3.0.0-14-generic-pae
Compiler: gcc
