Description Charles Samuels 2011-12-26 02:10:15 UTC
Version: 4.7 (using KDE 4.7.3)
OS: Linux

When I suspend or hibernate my machine, when I restart it, kmail doesn't notice that its kio_imap4 are useless because the connection has timed out on the other end.

Consequently, when I un-suspend the machine, kmail can't check mail anymore until I killall kio_imap4 processes.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Create a Disconnected IMAP Account. Have it check mail. Suspend and awaken the machine after an hour.

Actual Results:
KMail can no longer get mail from those accounts.

Expected Results:
KMail should continue to be able to check mail.

I'm marking this as "Crash" because the kio_imap4 processes are effectively wedged.

note: kmail 1.X is now unmaintained and kmail2 doesn't use kio_imap
Comment 2 Christophe Marin 2018-11-17 12:44:53 UTC
kio_imap4 doesn't exist anymore.
