Version: 4.7 (using KDE 4.7.3) OS: Linux Have been running everything on a 1G netbook, for over a year. Latest version HAS to have akonadi and it appears nepomuk running. Chewing up netbook limited resopurces like crazy. Got kmail working satisfactory then after a reboot not working. Wont sync to imap server now. Wont let me delete local kmail emails! Wont let me add a new imap source. I really like its interfacing with korganizer which now has other problems. Will there be an option to run everything outside of a database, like it used to run, with much lower memory usage. Now looking for a useful email calendar system. Kdepim used to be a reasonable system for local use. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: run kmail. Actual Results: basically hangs syncing imap resource Expected Results: Just works like it has for quite a long time.
> Fix everything before releasing - kmail currently is so unstable Not a bug. > Will there be an option to run everything outside of a database, like it used to run, with much lower memory usage. No. but you're free to use kdepim 4.4.11 (at your own risks) For further reports: - one issue = one bug report. Mixing everything makes triaging harder.
