Description mowriter 2011-12-17 21:27:07 UTC
Version: unspecified
OS: Linux

From "Dash Home" I select "Find Files". Recently downloaded folders display. I run sweeper, they still display. I move folders out of Download folder, run sweeper again, then (and only then) they disappear. Doesn't work when recently downloaded file is still in DL folder. Thought the app would truly remove all record of Find Files - no "Folder" choice in configuration options, by the way.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
From "Dash Home" I select "Find Files". Recently downloaded folders display. I run sweeper, they still display. I move folders out of Download folder, run sweeper again, then (and only then) they disappear. Doesn't work when recently downloaded file is still in DL folder. Thought the app would truly remove all record of Find Files - no "Folder" choice in configuration options, by the way.

Expected Results:
Expect NOTHING to show up in "Find Files" after running the app.

> Recently downloaded folders display.

Have these files been downloaded by a KDE application?
Comment 2 mowriter 2011-12-17 22:02:37 UTC
Yes: Transmission; and
Sorta: File download via Firefox browser (that came with my Ubuntu 11.10).
Comment 3 Christoph Feck 2011-12-17 22:30:24 UTC
Neither of those programs are KDE applications, so sweeper has no way to know that it could delete those files.

Adding configurable directories for cleaning is bug 244769, which could solve this issue. Unless you object, I will mark it as a duplicate.
