Version:           2.7.4 (using KDE 4.7.3) 
OS:                Linux

When i switch between 2 tabs and one of them has the search mode active, when switching to the tab with the search mode, an opaque background is briefly flashed.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
Open konsole. Have 2 tabs. On the second one, search for some string using ctrl+shift+f. 

Actual Results:  
When switch back and forth the 2 tabs, an opaque background is flashed when moving to the tab with the search mode active.

Expected Results:  
No opaque background flashed.

Sometimes it stop happening but i have not been able to find exactly why. Restarting konsole consistently brings the bug back though.

Also i filed as KDE 4.7.3 only because the 4.7.4 is not yet available in the menu.

I should add that i use a semi-transparent background in konsole. Also it happens on nvidia, ATI, and intel graphics cards.

Hello. I had a look, i do not think this is related. I deactivated the animations in oxygen settings, i get the same results. Also i tried to switch to Motif rather than oxygen, to no avail.

Well, I just failed to reproduce the reported problem. 

How long is that 'brief flash'? I have no problem with noticing the brief flash in bug 263934.

If possible, could you please create and attach a short screencast for the problem?

Hello,

I just tried again with kde 4.8.0 and i cannot reproduce the problem anymore. I think the bug can be closed. If i manage to reproduce it again i will reopen the report.
