Version: 0.7 (using KDE 4.6.0) OS: Linux I had used kmenuedit to change the menu look a bit - that was already a year ago. In the meantime I installed some programs (games, a flight log book etc.) that put their start files in ~/.local/share/applications. Today I wanted to restore the system menu look, using the option in kmenuedit. But instead of only deleting ~/.config/menus/applications-kmenuedit.menu, it deleted THE WHOLE DIRCETORIES ~/.local/share/[desktop-directories|applications]! Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Create files in ~/.local/share/[desktop-directories|applications] start kmenuedit, Restore system menu Actual Results: The files, including the directories, are gone Expected Results: .desktop files should not be touched, especially when never touched by kmenuedit The version of kmenuedit reported by Help->About is 0.8 (but I cannot select this above)
If I use Edit->Restore to System Menu a dialog pops up asking: "Do you want to restore the system menu? Warning: This will remove all custom menus" So it is obviously intended to delete the whole directory with custom desktop files
