I've been tracking sid & qt-kde experimental repo's using the newest LMDE converted to KDE through sid/unstable.  There were originally 63 updates that were pending, all but five were going to take out kde-full, standard and basically my whole kde setup.  I found five files that didn't require removing all of kde, so I updated them and it was after that that my desktop went buggers after a reboot and no more desktop, no file access, no nothing.  Could see my mouse and it moved around, but right or left click wouldn't do anything.  Part of the updates were KDE 4.7.2 and I've been hearing horror stories how it has wiped complete file systems and people have had to reinstall complete OS's....I'm one of them

Steps to Reproduce:
This would take a long time, because I've had to reinstall my system....can't wait around for someone to decide to do something get around to looking at my situation


Expected Results:  
KDE 4.7.2 should be able to go in without having 1/2 to 3/4 of your system being removed and then your system is borked and having to completely reinstall everything from scratch...these are time consuming steps......you people need to compile these so they don't mess up others computers
