I can not migrate to newer version of KMAIL2 and opening the kmail results in the error:

Fatal error:
kmail timeout trying to get lock!

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Try opening kamil and setup new email account!

Actual Results:  
Crash!

Expected Results:  
Migrated email and account!

OS: Linux (i686) release 3.1.0-1.2-desktop
Compiler: gcc

Appart from the lock failure I consistently get the follwing error as well:

KMail encountered a fatal error and will terminate now.
The error was:
Failed to fetch the resource collection.

hi , I got this error , and after googling arrive here , 
My solution was system settings -> akonadi configuration -> akanodi server configuration -> restart mysql (akonodi server)
