Description Jessie A. Morris 2011-12-08 23:09:56 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.7.3)
OS: Linux

I have the 'close when screensaver starts' checkbox ticked, yet when I lock my screen or the screensaver starts it does not close my wallet.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Check the 'close when screensaver starts' checkbox in the wallet settings and then lock the screen.

Actual Results:
Wallet remained open.

Expected Results:
Wallet should have closed.

Ubuntu 11.10, 64 bit using the KDE PPA at:

I think this was posted before, check bug 254273. Looks like an old issue.
Comment 2 Jessie A. Morris 2011-12-12 03:34:31 UTC
No, it isn't because I get no error or warning about not being able to close the wallet when I select 'Close All'.
Comment 3 Jessie A. Morris 2012-01-10 16:51:01 UTC
Is anyone going to fix this? It seems like a pretty serious bug.
Comment 4 Rettich 2012-01-16 14:38:42 UTC
I get warning when I try to close a single wallet. With "Close All", no warning. I think this is duplicate of bug 254273.
Comment 5 Jessie A. Morris 2012-01-27 17:27:53 UTC
Confirmed it is a configuration issue (at least after the fix it is). Remove your ~/.kde/share/config/krandrrc and all should be good.
Comment 6 Rettich 2012-01-30 01:38:43 UTC
Removing krandrrc config file didn't work for me. Where did you get this fix??
Comment 7 Jessie A. Morris 2012-05-16 21:42:57 UTC
Sorry, that comment was for a different bug.

Is this still the case in 4.10 or 4.11? My comment in bug 254273 about that message was a red herring.

Why has this bug been closed? It might be WORKSFORME for someone, but I'm still experiencing it.

@Graeme Hewson: does this reproduces on your system with the updated kdelibs & kde-runtime from the master branch?

I'm running Kubuntu 13.04 with the KDE 4.11 PPA, and the bug is still present.

Well, thats normal :) I wasn't clear, sorry. I meant, did this bug still reproduces with the latest source. That means that I'd like you to confirm when you'll get KDE 4.11.2 or 4.12 on your system. Before that, you'll still use the old code, that actually has the bug.

Thanks,

Valentin, it might be clearer, if you added the commit and/or fixed-in fields, or mark as a duplicate of another fixed bug. Just marking "worksforme" indeed leaves the reporter clueless as to why it does not "workforhim".
