The dialog where computer hang up is a dir select dialog from KDE, not digiKam. It sound like KDE wait a response from kioslave to display content of computer. Gilles Caulier
Hmm.. did you install digiKam using the installer on SourceForge, or using the KDE installer? The 'browse for folder' window that opened in your screenshot is Dolphin, but the Windows folder browser should have opened instead.
Official digiKam 2.6.0 release is out since few days now : http://www.digikam.org/drupal/node/656 Please, check if this entry still valid, or update report accordingly. Thanks in advance. Gilles Caulier

If you are no longer using digiKam please let us know as well. Here is a link to the new 3.1.0 installer: http://download.kde.org/stable/digikam/digiKam-installer-3.1.0-win32.exe
digiKam 3.5.0 is out. Can you give a fresh feedback about your report ? Crash still reproducible ? Thanks in advance Gilles Caulier
Please reopen, this still happens with digikam 4.1.0 from opensuse buildservice rpms.

*facepalm*
New digiKam 4.11.0 is available : https://www.digikam.org/node/740 Can you reproduce the problem with this release ? Gilles caulier

I've tried the latest version and each version back to 4.4.0 and they all do the same thing. DigiKam was working fine until about 10 days ago. I don't know what I did to make it not work anymore. I went through the Window's program list and uninstalled everything that I have installed since then. From comment #2 I installed from here: http://download.kde.org/stable/digikam/digiKam-installer-4.11.0-win32.exe.mirrorlist The CPU is steady at 50%. If I kill the application and related kde processes and restart it will display the thumbnail but as soon as I click on it it hangs. What other information do I need to provide? Thanks in advance.
