Version: unspecified (using Devel) OS: Linux since bug 60120 has been closed regarding exchange support into kmail as it was a bug report regarding kamil1, I'm reopenning this long awaited feature that still lack from KDE: Native MAPI support for exchange servers so users that are in an environment where imap and webdab are closed can connect to exchange servers in the same way outlook does. I'd be glad to test. I'm part of users that works in a company that is running exchange servers with webdav and imap deactivated. MAPI for Exchange 2007 is fully documented here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc678348.aspx Sumup: MAPI support for: - mails => kmail2 / akonadi - contacts => kaddressbook - calendar+shared calendar => korganizer - nodes => knotes - ... Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Open mail account config dialog No may to create exchange config Actual Results: No way to access exchange server resources in the same way outlook does Expected Results: acess exchange server resources in the same way outlook does MAPI for Exchange 2007 is fully documented here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc678348.aspx

This is not a duplicate of bug 227672. Bug 227672 only deals with mail support while this bug deals with ALL kontact components (calendare, notes, contacts, ...) Marking 227672 as redundant of this bug whould have been the solution. Anyway, it has been to yeas now that I have abandoned kmail completely as there is no exchange support (calendars, shared calendars, and mail), and I have no C++ skills to do it myself :-(
