Version:           1.2.1 (using KDE 4.7.2) 
OS:                Linux

Package manager doesn't ask for authentication when starting. upon doing any actions it refuses to continue stating authenticaion wasn't given.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:

Actual Results:  
see above

Expected Results:  
asked for authentication then start and perform normally

OS: Linux (i686) release 3.0.0-13-generic
Compiler: gcc

Sounds like the KDE authentication daemon crashed.

But all of the other programs that require the daemon work fine
